Happy First Anniversary to Ashleigh and Jared who were married at Montsalvat in Eltham on a gorgeous winter day just like it is today!
For two people who kept telling us they were “useless” in front of a camera, for their wedding and engagement shoot, we think our cameras would beg to differ! They were awesome, totally natural, relaxed and fun!
We were excited to be shooting at Montsalvat as we had visited the venue years ago for a photo workshop. We loved the feel of the venue and of course the old buildings some which are modelled on olde worlde English halls, although some elements of the artists’ colony could be in Italy! Ash and Jared also love trees and there is a great little collection near the old chapel, it really is a photographer’s dream!
We met them at Montsalvat for their getting ready shots and of course we were blown away when we saw Ash’s dress! Kim, being a lover of tulle, knew we were going to get lots of stunning shots! Ash’s bridesmaids looked perfect in their winter green dresses, pink flower crowns and instead of bouquets carried lanterns. We can’t leave the guys out who looked very dapper in their bow ties and tails!
The Great Hall was beautifully decorated with swathes of foliage and fairy lights! Their guests received a pot of honey from the family hives as gifts, each pot with a lovely quote.
Ashleigh and Jared’s special day really was a beautiful winter fairytale wedding!
