Happy First Anniversary to Debi and Nick!
After shooting Candice and Will’s wedding we jumped on a plane and headed to the UK for Debi and Nick’s wedding in Brighton! They decided to do their wedding a little differently by having their ceremony and a small family lunch on the Friday followed by a big party on the Sunday night, which also meant two lovely dresses for Debi and two suits for Nick!
Debi and Nick had hoped to have their ceremony outside in the bandstand but although it was a lovely sunny day it was a little too windy so fortunately there is a room downstairs which was quickly decorated! The wind calmed down a little during the ceremony so the registrar suggested that they did their exchange of rings upstairs. Readings for the ceremony were performed by their respective children and best man was Nick’s Dad along with best dog Harley!
Debi and Nick love The Nightmare Before Christmas and had this as the theme for their wedding from the umbrellas for the guests right through to the reception and the fantastic cake by Brighton Cakes! Nick’s buttonhole and Debi’s bouquet were made from pages of the book carefully crafted into flowers! The room at The Grand hotel was colourful and stunning. After some heartfelt speeches we were entertained by an ABBA tribute band who even got Debi up and singing at one point! It was a fantastic night and afterwards Debi and Nick enjoyed a honeymoon at Disneyland in the US.
For us it was great to be back shooting in our home city!
