Tarryn and Layton chose Skyhigh at Mount Dandenong for their wedding and on our first visit there we could see why! The reception building offers magnificent views towards the city and we kept our fingers crossed for an amazing sunset which we were granted!
Steve was shooting video so we were joined by our friend Brian who took over Steve’s photographic duties during the day.
Tarryn and Layton’s ceremony took place in the Secret Garden and guests continued to enjoy this pretty area whilst we took the bridal party off for photos. We had fallen in love with the woods that are just to the side of the property and after taking the bridal party photos in the English Garden we took Tarryn and Layton into the woods which provided a lovely backdrop for their photos. We passed a young pup on a walk and his owner very kindly lent him to Tarryn and Layton for a couple of shots as their own pup wasn’t able to join them on the day!
Meanwhile their guests had transferred to the balcony of the reception building for drinks and canapes and to enjoy that view! Tarryn and Layton made their entrance to cut the cake which was stunning! A small traditional cake sat upon individual desserts which looked (and later tasted) delicious!
After dinner and speeches Tarryn and Layton took to the floor for their dance with indoor fireworks as well! Then the party got started and as Layton is a DJ there was plenty of good music provided by another DJ and live band.
The sunset just kept on giving that night so not only did we take advantage of it but many guests also made the most of the warm evening taking in the view.
After a round of goodbyes it was time to wrap the evening up and Tarryn and Layton enjoyed a few days off in the area before they have their official honeymoon in a few weeks time!
