Happy first anniversary to Rachel and Simon!
Rachel and Simon had planned a lovely ceremony in Fitzroy Gardens in Melbourne city but a rainy Autumn morning meant that they had to make alternative arrangements! Luckily the staff at their reception venue, Mr Mason restaurant in Collins Street, were quickly able to set up their covered deck area so they could have the ceremony there. Rachel and Simon had a beautiful intimate wedding with only family and close friends attending and the most important guest of all, their little daughter!
Luckily the rain dried up so the bridal party hopped on a tram and we headed up to Treasury Gardens which is one of our favourite parks to shoot in with it’s avenue of tall trees. It was also fun getting some shots on the tram and at the Paris End of Collins Street for some different backgrounds.
Rachel and Simon are a fun couple so Simon kept us entertained with his jokes but they also like to do things a little differently, including their alternative wedding cake being a cheese cake! We’ve only seen one other and that was one of our early UK weddings years ago! Lego was also a feature of their wedding and I’m sure they had hours of fun building white hearts and the Mr and Mrs sign before the big day!
It was nice to see Rachel’s family again as we had captured her sister Megan’s wedding a few years before!
We hope you enjoy your celebrations Rachel and Simon!
