Katherine and Andrew were married on a lovely sunny day at Lyrebird Falls in the Dandenongs. We’ve shot at many of their sister properties but not at Lyrebird so we were looking forward to capturing Katherine and Andrew’s day at this pretty venue.
We started the day with Andrew and their guests’ arrival. It was a lovely emotional ceremony performed by a family friend and followed by plenty of time for congratulations and group photos.
We then went over to the forest area for the bridal party photos whilst the guests enjoyed drinks on the terrace. The tall trees and bridge provided a stunning backdrop along with the terraced area, once the guests had been seated inside.
The reception room was beautifully decorated and the tables included paper origami birds for each place, someone had a few busy evenings putting them together! Scrabble was also a theme of the wedding and to entertain their guests between courses they had a competition to see which table could come up with the best phrase or word with a set number of pieces, there were some very interesting combinations!
Their cake was also personally themed with a little dog representing their cute pup, Luna, and coffee beans which are very dear to Andrew’s heart!
Once the light started to go the fairy lights around the property came to life and we took a few images in the garden to wrap up their day before leaving them to enjoy the rest of the party!
