We were extra delighted when Hayley and Michael asked us to be part of their special day! Why? Because their wedding was the fourth we had been asked to shoot in Hayley’s family having captured her sister’s and two cousins’ weddings over the years! It was lovely to catch up with her family and see how much it’s grown over the last few years with plenty of new little people on the scene!
Hayley and Michael had a lovely day with the ceremony and reception taking place at Nathania Springs in The Dandenongs. The gardens, surrounded by tall trees and lush ferns were just starting to get some Autumn colour which gave our photos a beautiful green and orange backdrop. We were very lucky with the weather as, although cloudy, the rain stayed away which meant the guests could enjoy some outdoor games and drinks outside.
One thing Hayley and Michael wanted to make sure of was that their day was relaxed and had plenty of photo time so after the family photos it was nice to have a break and some afternoon tea before heading off around the grounds with the bridal party for photos.
They met 7 years ago on a night out in Mornington and there were several smiles about the night club they met in! Very soon they were inseparable and they love each other’s families and are adored by Hayley’s niece who was our super cute flower girl, who apparently desperately wants another wedding to go to! They’ve just returned from honeymooning in the States and Hawaii where their love of all things Harry Potter meant that a trip to Universal Studios was definitely on the cards!
Congratulations to Hayley and Michael and we wish you lots of happiness in the years to come!
