They say it’s good luck to have rain on your wedding day but we all kept our fingers crossed that the incredibly heavy rain during the morning would clear for Holly and Steffan’s special day at Josephine’s Restaurant at The Briars in Mount Martha.
Unfortunately the rain continued all day in heavy bands so, as they didn’t want to take the risk of an outdoor ceremony, it was held inside. Even in March it’s a good idea to have a Plan B! We had a window of about an hour which allowed us to photograph outside and looking at the photos you wouldn’t believe how bad the weather had been!
Holly and Steffan met whilst Holly was travelling in Steffan’s native Canada and she persuaded him to move to Australia! Steffan had support from close family and friends who had made the journey from Canada and maple leaves added a touch of Steffan’s homeland to the table decorations!
The restaurant room was beautifully decorated with an abundance of flowers which looked great in the rustic setting of the old buildings. They were a great dance crowd and the two Dads had great fun with DJ Peter D’s guitar challenge! The guests also had fun with the props for the photo booth which we used in between meal courses.
